Christian Brothers College, Monkstown Park

The project entails the relocation of the Junior School to a new building within the Senior School Campus and Post Primary School extension within the redevelopment of CBC Monkstown. Phasing was put in place to allow the demolition of the existing school after the contract was completed.

The school is a suitable space for intellectual, creative, physical and social activity. A place that the pupils will make their own with an atmosphere and sense of scale that is not over-powering or impersonal. The school is flexible and capable of future expansion. All teaching spaces and habitable rooms have natural daylight, glazed areas to provide a high level of natural light while avoiding glare and a view of the outside environment. The use of Passive Energy Measures to achieve a comfortable internal environment were employed where possible.
