Haemodialysis Unit, Beaumont Hospital

The project comprised a fit out of 3500 sq m of shell space above the existing acute psychiatric unit in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin. A new raised corridor linking back to the existing main hospital was also constructed as part of the works. The accommodation included a new 34 station Haemodialysis Unit, which encompassed the full spectrum of renal care services including 4 isolation rooms for isolation treatments, Home Therapies, Haemodialysis support for the transplant service and a plasmapheresis service. A Day Hospital for Psychiatry of Old Age and an 8 bed inpatient unit for the Psychiatry of Old Age were also provided.
