The project involved the conversion of The Hampstead Building, an existing shell and core office block, into Health and Wellbeing facilities, providing centralised urgent care, diagnostic and other medical services for adults and children. A comfortable and pleasant environment for the patients, their family members, and staff was sought, and a strong emphasis on holistic design and contemplative warmth was central to the patient experience. Challenging the traditional clinical typology, the resulting sequence of spaces extend across the five floors with clinical treatment, healing, counselling and gathering.

A number of Large structural openings were created to enhance vertical circulation and create visual connections. Integration of dedicated recovery and reflection spaces within each department allow for a greater flexibility in the patient journey.
